What’s been keeping you up at night?
1. My son
2. My son’s future
4. I’m 47
5. Having sold our house of 12 years
6. The interim rental
7. Tomorrow’s errands
8. Yesterday’s unfinished business
9. Equal parts inspiration and regret
9. The buzzing and ringing, you hear it don’t you?
What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen or heard lately?
I’ve fallen back in love with Yo La Tengo, been mesmerized by their latest album.
What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on right now?
The vinyl release of my latest record which is also a limited edition book of some of my photography.
If you could add anyone, alive or dead to your team, who would it be?
Fernando Valenzuela. I saw his first MLB pitch, Dodger Stadium.
Oh, maybe Van Dyke Parks.
And Gena Rowlands
Carol Kay, duh
Gordon Willis; my current landlord was a gaffer back in the day, gaffed for him at one point, had to rent the house, starstruck
Bridget St. John: she’s kind of on my team, on my record, but I want to make sure she stays there. She’s a transcendentally beautiful musician. And a beautiful person.
