Paulina Goca is a visual artist born in Aguascalientes, and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. She showed interest in art from a young age, and started learning different techniques on her own, with the help of books and videos. At the age of 15, she started her journey in the art world, when she discovered many hyperrealist artists who inspired her to follow that path.
Her vision of beauty gets caught in a sensible and quiet look, and in the static and mimetic postures of the faces she draws, with the monochromatic and melancholic feeling from the charcoal and graphite; materials she uses the most in her pieces.
“I tend to modify the reality, showing the fragments of the human behavior and personalities, my work is a distortion and extension of the human eye”
At her young age, she has showed her work in different galleries and museums around Mexico, and also in the Mexican Cultural Center, in Paris.
