Kat Maxman grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and started drawing a child.
“When I got into high school I began to find my own creative style. My work began to take in various elements of contemporary tattooing, which is when I knew I wanted to tattoo. I graduated high school in 2013 and attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
By 2014 I left college and started my apprenticeship, which took 2 years. I am now in my 3rd year of tattooing and have found my home at Hole in the Wall Tattoo in Glenwood Springs Colorado.
I absolutely love my career. It can be very challenging at times, but has resulted in my artwork and style to continue to grow.”
