5 Questions: Tammy Ealom of Dressy Bessy

Dressy Bessy, indie-rock darlings hailing from Denver, Colorado, known for their irresistibly charming, punchy and melodic music as well as their association with the redoubtable Elephant 6 collective, are celebrating 20 years of music-making with the release of their seventh studio album, Fast Faster Disaster. Dressy Bessy is Tammy Ealom (guitarist and vocalist), John McDowell Hill (guitarist) and Craig Gilbert (drums). Fast Faster Disaster was released June 14 on Yep Rock Records. Tammy and the band (the dog too) will resume their tour when they take the stage at Sleeping Village in Chicago IL on June 26.

1. What’s been keeping you up at night?
Aah the excitement that comes with a new album! Oh and hot summer nights.

2. What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen or heard lately?
Jenny Come On – a song from our first album Pink Hearts Yellow Moons – recently ranked #72 on Rob Sheffield’s top 99 songs of 1999 list for Rolling Stone. Pretty cool.:)

3. What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on right now?
Practicing songs from our new album and gearing up for tour!


4. If you could add anyone, alive or dead to your team, who would it be?
Hmm, that’s tough, we’ve got a really good team right now. 4 bodies and dog are plenty in van.

5. When the movie of your life is made, what will it be called?
Play it again Tam .. lol ???
