Ren Picco Freeman is a photographer, hairstylist and makeup artist based in Evanston, Il. She has a private studio space where she shoots dancers, artists and musicians and also sees her private clientele. She is a photographer and stylist for Foster Dance Studios and Cocodaco Dance Project. A lover of black and white photography – Ren’s dance photography emphasizes strength and emotion.

1.What’s been keeping you up at night?
Politics, the recent deaths of people close to me and my work.
2. What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen or heard lately?
Alexander Mcqueen’s Autumn/Winter 2018 campaign – the embroidered boots make my palms sweaty, Paul Nicklen’s photos of sea life and the coolest of all, my son’s college acceptance email.
3. What’s the most exciting thing you’re working on right now?
Shooting cocodaco dance project and trying to capture their fierceness.



4. If you could add anyone, alive or dead to your team, who would it be?
My father. I’d love to talk with him at this point in my life.
5. When the movie of your life is made, what will it be called?
The Life and Times of Brenda Marlow.
