1. What keeps you up at night?
Hunger. I’m always hankering for something salty right after I brush my teeth. It’s quite annoying laying there trying to convince myself I’m not hungry. But seriously, my massive to-do list. Being a solo-prenuer, my mind is constantly racing with things I need to do, ideas I’m developing, if I’m being a good leader, and whether or not I’m doing enough to reach those goals. I call it productivity guilt. I can clock in 16 hours days and still feel like I’m not doing enough.
2. What’s the coolest thing you’ve you seen or heard of lately?
I attended the Women in the World salon at the Dallas Museum of Art recently where I heard from some amazing female speakers. The opening speakers were the first female chief of police in Dallas, the first female NFL coach, and the first female ex-marine F18 pilot that is now running for Congress and I was blown away. So much empowerment in the room. I walked away with so much inspiration and the nudge I needed to be brave and courageous in my own journey. One day, I want to sit where they were and share my experiences with other female leaders. I really want to attend their annual event in NYC next year.
3. What’s the most exciting thing you’re working right now?
I am currently working on my events programming calendar for 2018. I’m excited about the partners I’m collaborating with for the year. I plan fitness pop up and events throughout Dallas. 2017 was my first year hosting pop ups and now that I’ve established myself, I plan on hitting the ground running in 2018. I want to be proactive, not reactive. With that, I have the creative freedom to make these events fun, unique and memorable for every person that decides to venture out of their normal fitness routine. Dallas is my canvas and I can’t wait to paint it.
4. If you could add anyone, alive or dead to your team, who would it be?
Can I say clones instead? I’d really really really like a few clones of myself. A small Mai Lyn army to do my bidding because Global Domination is also on my to-do list.
5. When the movie of your life is made, what will it be called?
Small, but Mighty. I mean…never underestimate small women with a purpose. We’ll run you over.
