Wonil Suh grew up in Chicago / Seoul, and currently works as a visual designer, illustrator, and animator in New York. He has shown his works in New York City, Seoul, Barcelona, and Houston.

The subjects of his illustration works are the antithesis of daily life of rationality and goals. The subjects are usually found around the borders of reality and insanity, where things almost never make sense, many wear some form of guise, and feel intensely numb. These emotionally muted and self-contradicting characters and their abstract stories are told through highly muted images, using only pencil and charcoal on simple paper.
