Distant Relatives: New Yorkers

Even though we don’t know each other, they are part of my life as much as I’m part of theirs.  Sometimes, I make up tales for the faces caught my eyes; other times, the facial expressions tell incredible stories beyond what I can ever imagine.

Dana Chang has a natural-born curiosity and compassion toward human beings. Before entering the photography world, she had walked the street shaking hands with whomever was willing, written love letters for people she had never met, and offered strangers help through Craiglist. Nowadays, her Fuji camera provides her a safer way to connect. She is constantly intrigued by the stories behind every movement, every expression, and every human trace. Taking pictures sets her imagination free, and giving her quirkiness an outlet outside of her 9-5 corporate world.
